What is Colorguard?

Colorguard is the visual heart of the marching band - the performers you see spinning flags, rifles, and sabres, dancing, and bringing the music to life through movement. Working alongside the band on the field, the guard adds color, emotion, and storytelling to every show, turning a piece of music into a full performance the audience can see as well as hear!

At Milton, colorguard is part of the fall marching season and continues indoors during the winter (called winterguard), where the team performs to recorded music in a more theatrical, competitive setting.
No experience is required to join - many of our members had never touched a flag before their first spin clinic. If you love performing, music, dance, or just want to be part of an incredible team, colorguard is for you. Reach out if interested in joining!

Summer Training Opportunities

There is ZERO requirement for your kid to do anything but enjoy summer in June! 🌞 My kiddo is now a bit obsessed at the moment 😉 - but if your guard kid wants to keep spinning, here are some independent groups running summer clinics:
